"Many thanks for a great stay, the accommodation is excellent and the location just perfect. So wonderful to be able to walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The tranquility of sitting on the deck, the setting made our holiday very relaxing" - SM, Sydney

There are many things to do in and around Agnes Water and 1770.

Local historian Arthur Jeffrey set up the local Museum at Agnes Water. It is full of memorabilia from Captain Cook and the local community and is one of the best museums in the country. It is fascinating to see how many of the plants from that time are still growing in the area today - a testament to how unspoilt the area still is.

There are local scooter tours, horse riding and a variety of water sports available. The golf club is also great for a day out with great scenery and a good social day.

In the winter months, whale watching boat trips are available and in the summer there are the Great Barrier Reef trips, scuba diving or sailing.

Visit the Mystery Craters near Gin Gin, one of Australia's most baffling natural phenomenons. See the craters, read the theories, maybe come up with one of your own.....

"Bundy Rum" Distillery is also a big drawcard, see how they brew or just sample the products.

For a more cultural experience, visit the art gallery and see the crafts created by many local residents.
