OZ EXPERIENCE COMES TO TOWN
Backpackers - the lifeblood of the town!
This week backpacker operators on the Discovery Coast were abuzz with the exciting news that coach company Oz Experience will extend their Sydney to Cairns schedule to include an extra stopover in Agnes Water.
Oz Experience operate a flexible transport network designed especially for backpackers.
"This area is backpacker utopia," said Oz Experience General Manager, Greg Cole, when he visited Agnes Water to meet with backpacker operators. 'Activities, accommodation and price make the area very attractive to international visitors, the quality of experience is outstanding.'
'The area has been sescribed by many international backpackers as the most amazing holiday within an amazing holiday.'
"We are working with all the backpacker hostels and tour operators to make sure visitors spend more than one or two days here.' Greg said.
The new bus schedule will begin with the first north bound bus leaving Sydney on Monday 5 January. There will six buses a week throughout the peak backpacker months, dropping back in the quiet months. For now the southbound trip will continue to drop passengers of at Fingerboard.
Hang on to your hats... our backpacker market has just received a boost that will see a huge increase in numbers in coming months.
